I am blessed to have been the Administrative Assistant at St. Jude for the past 31 years. I began working for St. Jude on September 12, 1988, where I immediately assumed a variety of duties including publishing a weekly bulletin, maintaining parish records, bookkeeping, and secretary to the pastor. During my tenure, I have worked with six different pastors, each with their own unique gifts and eccentricities.
Working for the Church at St. Jude has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. I am usually the first person someone speaks to when they call the office. Consequently, my role is as much pastoral as it is administrative. It is important to me that when someone calls the office inquiring about the Catholic Church, needing to speak with Father because of a family crisis, or because a loved one has died that they know we really care and that what goes on in the office is kept confidential.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Deacon John for 42 years. Together we have three grown children: Esther Slay, John McGregor and Clare Thompson. We have been blessed with six grandchildren four boys and two girls.
I studied Accounting and Business Technology at Hinds Community College and Church Management at Villanova University.
I currently serve on the RCIA and the ALPHA Teams.
