The following prayer was found typed on a time-stained piece of paper taped inside one of the old parish hymnals.

Our Parish Prayer
Dear Lord, we thank you for the gift of your son, Jesus Christ, who came into this world as our brother. He walked with his people, cared for their needs, and died that we might live. Make us a caring, forgiving, loving people inspired by the life and example of our parish patron, St. Jude. Form us by the power of your holy word, nourish us by our celebration of the sacraments, especially the Holy Eucharist, where we are privileged to receive your body and blood. Empowered by the gift of the Holy Spirit may we strive to proclaim Jesus in word and action. Amen.
