On January 5th, join in the festivities of a "burning of the greens" bonfire as we celebrate Epiphany! King Cake and hot chocolate will be served. The fun will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Fr. Lincoln is on a combination mission appeal and visit with his sister. We will not have weekday Masses at St. Jude. Daily Masses are offered at area churches as follows: - Cathedral of St. Peter at 12:05 p.m.; - St. Richard at 7:00 a.m.; and - St. Francis at 7:00 a.m.

As the number of Covid-19 cases and hospitalizations rise again, the Centers for Disease Control and the Mississippi State Department of Health have recommended that all people (vaccinated and unvaccinated) wear masks when in public indoor spaces. They also recommend that those over the age of 65 and with serious underlying health conditions avoid large indoor gatherings. Due to these recent recommendation and the tremendous strain on our healthcare system, Fr. Lincoln strongly encourages all parishioners to prayerfully consider wearing masks during the weekend Masses. This is not a mandate and parishioners without masks will not be turned away from Mass. It is, however, a way to mitigate the risk for all parishioners. Those not comfortable at weekend Masses due to the size of the crowds can come to the daily Masses, which have fewer people in attendance. The dispensation that allows attending a daily Mass to meet the Sunday Mass obligation remains in place. Also, receiving communion in the hand is recommended. If you choose to receive communion on the tongue, please wait for the very end of the communion line. Please remember in your prayers all that are affected by Covid --- those that are now sick, those that have died, the healthcare professionals, and those that suffer from the long-term effects. Pray, also, for protection, wisdom, and guidance for all.

Our beloved Director of Faith Formation, Stacy Wolf, passed away unexpectedly July 7th. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated July 10th at St. Jude. Our hearts are broken. Please remember in your prayers her husband Michael, her children Mary Rose and Owen, her father Own Brown, her brother Paul Brown, and all of her church family. Our 6:00 p.m. Saturday drive-in Masses are going back into the church due to the hot weather effective June 26, 2021.

Bishop Joseph Kopacz will lift the general dispensation from the Sunday obligation to attend Mass, effective June 5/6 for the Feast of Corpus Christi.
